Don Blumhorst, CPA joined EKC on January 1, 2026. Prior to joining EKC, Don was a shareholder of CB&C CPA, P.C. since 2006. Prior to CB&C CPA, P.C., Don had been a controller for a company in industry. He also previously worked as an auditor for a CPA firm in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Don was born and raised in southern Illinois. He lived in the St. Louis area for much of his life through early adulthood. He attended Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville and received a BS in Accountancy. Don assists clients in many industries including manufacturing, real estate development, real estate leasing, and retail clients offering compilation services as well as tax preparation and business planning to these closely held businesses and their owners.
Don is a member of the TXCPA, MSCPA and AICPA. Don is married to Susan. They have two children, Brian and Nicole. They are proud grandparents to 1 granddaughter -- that takes up much of their free time. Don is a huge sports fan. Growing up in the St. Louis area -- he is a huge St. Louis Cardinals (baseball) fan. Since moving to San Antonio 30+ years ago -- Don has become a huge San Antonio Spurs fan.
