Sheri joined EKC in 2003 and became a shareholder on Jan. 1, 2012. She specializes in business and personal financial reporting, planning and consulting, tax preparation & planning, and assistance with various types of accounting systems, including QuickBooks, PeachTree and MAS90/200. In 2001, Sheri graduated from Lamar University with a degree in Management Information Systems and later graduated in 2003 with a degree in Accounting. She has been licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant since 2005 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Sheri is currently serving as the President of the Southeast Texas Chapter of TSCPA and has also served on the Lamar Institute of Technology Accounting Advisory Committee. In May 2010, Sheri graduated from the 18th class of Leadership Southeast Texas (LSET) and is currently serving as Asst. Secretary/Treasury on the LSET Advisory Council. She is an Advanced Certified QuickBooks© ProAdvisor and has volunteered to teach a QuickBooks seminar for Lamar University's Small Business Development Center.
Sheri enjoys spending time with her husband Doug of nineteen years and has one son, Travis (20). On occasion, Sheri and her husband enjoy tackling home improvement projects.
